It isn't really so incredible to think that top politicians, businessmen etc. gather to discuss important matters that effect the running of their countries and businesses is it? And it wouldn't be so incredible if their real motivations were self orientated would it? This is not a conspiracy theory, just a fact, and of course they don't want us involved mucking things up with our wild views now do they?!! In a true democracy the people's servants would not be allowed to avoid transparency over their involvement with such rich and financially powerful businessmen would they?

SUPERNATURAL FAITH

So where will you be when you die, nowhere, somewhere, or everywhere, or perhaps all three at once! If you think we're nothing but dust, where did the dust come from, do you believe that the universe just exploded into being from nothingness, or that it has always been there, forever? You must have strong faith in something supernatural to hold those beliefs.

Why do people get married, christened, or buried through the church yet not beleive in God nor follow the religious beleifs and teachings of the organisation they employ for these occasions? Frightening that a whole bunch of people don't even think about it, they just do it.

911 Doubts?

Watch this film it asks some interesting questions about 911 but is focused on the BBC who aired a program about 911 conspiracy theories in February 2007. It does seem to suggest some journalistic inadequacy by the show producers. Some seem to have the view that to question the cause of the tragedy is to deny that it was one. This is not true, people hold many different beliefs about the cause of the event but this does not deny that the event was a tragedy...as is the hollywood exploitation of the event so soon afterwards.

They put man on the moon, in outer space. They built towers that you can't see the top of, make planes that can travel across the world in hours, make dolphins dance, make sealions sing. They make machines that can millions at the push of a button, poison's, explosives, viruses, a multitude of weapons that can wipe out all living things on the earth several times over, But they know nothing of the mind or the soul and even shy away from exploring them. Just who do they think they are...?

THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE

Here's an idea: the universe and everything in it is just one giant hologram, time and space are constructs of the mind and have no place in true reality, and the mayans were correct in saying that we are trapped in a maze of false reality. Not knew to you? Well it was knew to us. Reading Michael Talbot's book 'The Holographic Universe', has been a real eye opener. Giving an almost tangible explanation for all those wierd and mysterious things like psychokineses, telepathy, clairivoyance, ghosts, visions, out of body experiences, psychedelic drug experiences, and many of the more wierd and wonderful aspects of modern life, this is a compelling and somewhat enchanting work which introduces some of the mystery and all of the awe and wonder back into life while having a physical theory in support.

It's a very interesting read and gives the appearance of having many well founded factual bodies of evidence in support of many of the areas of the para or super normal aspects of life that seem congruent to the holographic universe theory. The world is a mesh of energy frequencies, some we see as light, some we feel with touch, some with our emotion, and some frequencies are perceived as sound. That's where the music comes in. With training you can direct your subconcious to allow your concious mind to perceive more than it currently allows through the filter of your brain and senses, but in order to do so you must be able to embrace different and difficult ideas, if you constantly run to what you like and what you know, you will never grow.

BERLIN TRIP

Just got back from Berlin, wow! What a place. Civilised and clean, loads of graffiti, people can smoke just about everywhere (definitely not on the trains or stations if you're planning a visit) but they can't cross the road while the red man is showing - it's against the law. There is loads to do there, so many clubs you couldn't do them all in a year, and if you did plenty of the first few would have closed and new ones opened up, and you can party all night till around 5 or 6 am in most places and that's pretty much every night of the week. It's a very liberal place, people seem largely indifferent to sexuality and style and very friendly. A place where a bit of writing on a wall and the odd cigarette in a cafe are no major thing, but keeping the streets clean and tidy, providing a good transport system where the alternatives to driving are pleasant and reliable, including having great cycle paths are seen as more important things to spend time and energy on.

Not like whinging Britain, crikey, you're taking your life in your hands if you ride a cycle here, the roads are narrow and when cycle paths are put in place they are narrow bits of paint at the side of a road that break up and disappear just as soon as they appear. They aren't cycle paths at all but intend to give that appearance, its pathetic. Then we have people driving around doing a 3 mile school run in giant gas guzzling 4x4's (SUV's), people dealing drugs and shooting each other, poorly educated kids vandalising anything and everything for fun, an absolute intolerance in most suburbs of anyone or anything slightly unusual or different, a corrupt government that joins the USA and wages war for no just cause, and still gets voted back in by an ignorant and backward nation many of whom vote for the party with their favourite colour, or because they 'always have'.

So what do local and national politicians spend all their time on? Educating kids, better law enforcement, improving the transport network and getting people out of their cars and onto buses, trains and cycles? Nope. They campaign to ban smoking everywhere. Great, so we'll all have good healthy lungs to be polluted by industry and traffic, or collapsed in a stabbing, or filled with water when massive floods are caused by global warming....good old Britain!

PARADOX - COTMD BELIEFS AND ACTIONS

Someone kindly pointed out that a lot of what we believe and do are kind of opposed to each other, like being anti-efficient and against hard labour etc. yet we wear clothes made in factories, use hardware and software produced by succesful development within corporations and companies, buy food in large chain supermarkets, etc. Our mission is musical and we never intended to enter detailed discussion about our beliefs, but we will say this, anybody who lives in a capitalist democracy and professes to be a spiritual being who believes in justice and equality will act in paradox, it is unavoidable. In addition we are not simply anti-capitalist or against hard work and endeavour, we are against the mindset that beleives wealth and status are the true rewards of a good life, and we are opposed to the power mad and the money hungry. Most strongly we wish to debase the commonly held respect that too many people show for the rich. Those who drive expensive gas guzzlers, wear designer clothes, and rely on their possessions for self worth have values that are materialistic, transient, degenerative and ultimately bad for the human race and the life we share our world with. Does that mean we are against you if you have an expensive house or car? No, absolutely not, but we will not respect you for it, only for who you are.

ZONEALARM AND GARAGEBAND

Been having problems with Zonealarm, none of us can figure out how to get music players to work with the firewall on, particularly garageband.com which is one of our favourites, but also with cafepress music player and some others like launchcast. Garageband helpfully suggested switching the firewall off! While we trust them we don't like the idea of leaving our ports unprotected for any length of time, that's why we have a firewall! Zonealarm don't provide free support so we tried the forums but no help there either. Maybe we'll have to switch again. Firewalls are generally pretty mellow, working away in the background quietly but issues like this really do disturb the peace!

MULTIVERSE THEORY

We found out the multiverse theory isn't exactly what the scientists say, but they don't agree with each other so hey. It is also called meta-universe, parallel universe, alternate universe, parallel world, and so on. The big bounce theory is pretty rich too, the universe just keeps expanding and then contracting like a heart beating and each time it begins to expand again is another big bang followed by a big crunch. Probably in line with Neitzche's idea of eternal return. It is notable that this is not really physics or science as it is not testable or measureable and is all hypothetical so it is more realistic to call it philosophy. We find the idea of the heartbeat universe quite relaxing, rhythmic and musical. There's a good detailed entry here in the wikipedia encyclopedia.

ETERNITY

We're still in the mood for comtemplating the universe, the idea of the multiverse is a wierd one, but one of the guys said there can only be one kind of true eternity and in it all possibilites happen at once at all times, anything you can imagine happening is happening somewhere and continues to do so all the time. The rest of us got sore heads thinking about it and went back to thinking about the sun.

A BEAUTIFUL SUNSET

The sunset was incredible today, there was high emotion in cult of the mellow day for a sight of the magic sunshine...life giving energy from a dying star.

A LOST TUNE

We just heard the most amazing tune on the radio but the DJ didn't bother to announce the artist or title at the end, maybe he did at the start but we didn't have the radio turned on then, don't you hate it when that happens?! Sent an email to see if he can tell us which one it was.

DJ got back to us, said he couldn't trace it without a precise time, nobody here looked at the clock so we had no idea. If you know it let us know, it goes kinda like this: bass drum - four to the floor but quite a soft attack, bass - bounces in kinda punchy and sparse do, do, do, duh, do, duh, doo, synth, undulating like a web made by a spiderfish, schlum, speel, schlum, speel, cla, cla, repeat...think we're flogging a dead horse here...

ADDICTION

Someone woke up with a stiff neck and sore head the other day, doctor prescribed diazepam, that's real mellow stuff, makes you feel kinda soft, but it says it can be habit forming so only have a couple more left before they run out. Never mind, addiction is a terrible thing, it is impossible to be 100% chilled with an addiction because there will be some point when you just get a craving and start gnashing your teeth and then the calm disappears fast.

SHOPPING DISEASE

Four days again, we'd hope to keep new entries on at least every two decades but hey, we're just fulfilling our goal of keeping cool. No steam coming from the ears here, if its time its time, simple as that. Sounds idyllic but there really is no call for things to be any other way. All you need daily is water, food and warmth, the rest is luxury and boy do some of us have so many, and many of us have so few! So if you find yourself chomping at the bit cos your new shiny metallic orgasmatronic pulse blending fish encapsulator didn't arrive as fast as UPS said it would you got the disease man! Just go do something else, have a look at a flower for an hour or two and then have a sleep, is it all so urgent it can't wait?

BRAIN IN A VAT

Pondering the old brain in a vat theory, nothing like it to freak you out a bit, for those of you unfamiliar think Matrix before the tube comes out the back of the head. We always come back to the same point on that one though, what difference does it make to the decisions you make in your daily life. OK so you might be stuck in a game or a maze of false reality, as the mayans believed, but you can't get out, and if you can't get out you can't prove it, and who are you going to prove it too cos if you get out everyone you ever knew will remain in the illusion?

GLOBAL WARMING

This whole global warming lark is getting us down, its been in the news for a very long time now and people still ignore the issues. Hey lets vote for president Bush, burn me some more oil and kill as many people as we can in the process...not chilled or enlightened thinking, how many floods, hurricanes, tidal waves and typhoons do you people need? Duh, we don't care so long as we got a big truck, beer, and TV. Guys you can have those things and care too you know, well beer at least, the others we aint so passionate about. Ok sure its not just the USA, there's the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Argentina, Brazil...well just about the whole rest of the world too to some degree, but USA is happy to lead the world into war so why drag its heels so much when it comes to doing the right things? Sure we all know why...all but the majority of North American voters if the ballot box is to be believed.

MIND CONTROL BY ELECTOMAGNETIC FREQUENCIES

Wow, we have just read the website on mind control by electro magentic frequencies, kind of far out and yet wholly believable at the same time. The brain is sensitive to electro magentism, that's a fact, but to what degree. There is a book out there somewhere called Supernature and it explains some of the more fantastic events in nature, quite an eye opener but if you read it you'll see that even tiny micro organisms are sensitive to the gravitational pull of the moon and that's a long way away. The brain is made up of tiny cells which could easily be susceptible to minor magnetic forces so we reckon its possible if not proven.
